Energy-Efficient Predictive Maintenance in Electromagnetically Harsh Environments

The energy autonomy of wireless sensor nodes is a demanding task, especially if electromagnetically harsh environments (as industrial plants) are considered. This talk will demonstrate the implementation and validation of such a wireless network for predictive maintenance applications by resorting to the extremely robust Long Range (LoRa) technology for communication and to wireless energy provided by customized RF energy sources, both operating at 2.45GHz. The detailed description of the energy autonomous node and the RF shower designs will be given, including some hints on more recent solutions for smart energy transmission.
